Description
This is a RARE original US pressing copy of the second LP by British group the Zombies, released in 1968. Beginning life in the early '60s as a moody beat-pop band ("She's Not There," "Tell Her No"), the group had evolved with the times, and was now featuring a pop-psych sound epitomized by their epochal hit, "Time of the Season," which closes this record. This copy is from the early first pressing, a status evident (per Discogs) by a small capital "A" below the track list and liner notes on the back cover (see picture). All versions with the original cover art are rare, though, as the record was reissued the following year with only a small part of it held over. The jacket is close to M- with light corner and bottom seam wear, and light staining and scuffing on the back cover (EX+). There's a red “Demonstration Record/Not for Sale” ink stamp on the back cover. The disc is clean with some light scuffing/loss of glossiness, and plays close to M- with occasional light surface noise (EX+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
