THE THIRD(especially in this condition) by THE ZOMBIES called "ODESSEY and ORACLE" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK STEREO/MONO 1st Pressing on the 1st Press ORANGE CBS label.THIS LP IS MEGA RARE AND VERY DIFFICULT TO LOCATE. THIS IS ONE OF THE ZOMBIES RAREST LP's EVER, AND HARDLY EVER TURNS UP FOR SALE... TRY AND GET HOLD OF ANOTHER ONE!..NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!  CONDITION...(have a look at my photo's) THIS IS THE ORIGINAL UK 1968 STEREO/MONO 1st PRESSING ON THE 1st PRESS ORANGE CBS LABEL. 1st PRESS A2 / B2 MATRIXES, AND 1st PRESS FRONT LAMINATED ERNEST J. DAY PATENTS PENDING SLEEVE  WITH THE ORIGINAL FIRST PRESS ORANGE AND WHITE "THE SOUND OF ENTERTAINMENT" PICTURE INNER SLEEVE ...THIS LP IS MEGA MEGA RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE RECORD...this is the ORIGINAL ORANGE CBS UK STEREO/MONO 1st pressing from 1968 and is in STUNNING!!!! condition!..The record is pressed on a slab of THICK black quality vinyl. The Cat no. is S 63280 on the 1st press ORANGE CBS label...(have a look at my photo's) and is a UK MONO/STEREO 1st Pressing..

Labels are the sensational blood orange matt textured CBS  format in excellent+ condition. With the CBS logo over the central holes on both sides of the labels to confirm that this is the very first issue of this magnificent rarity. Has some very minor spindle lines but NO damage of any kind. NO graffiti , NO rips NO tears or stickers and would therefore grade as  excellent+ condition!!!!

Vinyl

Thickly pressed heavy weight vinyl pressing with jet black mirrior like surfaces That have that just pressed look!!. A magnificent vintage classic Against a strong halogen light and angled at 45 degrees. There are NO surface marks,NO scratches NO blemishes at all!!! NO tiny faint wispy lines are visible whatsoever!!!. A remarkable visual and impossible to locate in this condition!!! and would therefore grade as near as mint!!! (if not mint) The vinyl has a beautiful full sheen which would be impossible to find on a record of over 40 years!!!!....virtually impossible to upgrade on this classic!!!

Sleeve

First issue front lamimated Ernest J. Day patents pending  sleeve is in stunning condition for a record of over 40 years old!!!..Showing only a miniscule amount of storage wear with some very very light laminate wear close to the opening edge and spine,and has no ring wear at all!!!.The sleeve has NO rips,NO tears and absolutley NO graffitti or sticker marks whatsoever!!!,The sleeve is a pleasure to view and is in as near as mint condition for a record of this age!!! The Spine is perfectly straight and clearly legible.This is a fine example of this sensational CBS  classic !!! (under closer inspection there is a stereo sticker on the reverse of the sleeve)

Odessey and Oracle is a Psychedelic rock, Baroque Pop album by The Zombies released in 1968

 Album information

Odessey and Oracle was recorded in 1967 after the Zombies signed to the CBS label, and was only the second album they had released since 1965. As their first LP, Begin Here, was a collection of singles, Odessey can be regarded as the only true Zombies album. While their first album included several cover versions, Odessey consisted entirely of original compositions by the group's two main songwriters, Rod Argent and Chris White.

The group began work on the album in June 1967. Some songs were recorded at EMI's Abbey Road Studios, where earlier in the year the Beatles had recorded Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pink Floyd recorded The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. This was the first time Abbey Road would be used for an independently produced (non-EMI) release. By the time the recording was finished, in late 1967, the Zombies were effectively disbanded, due to lack of financial success. Odessey and Oracle was released in the UK in April 1968 and in the United States in June. The single "Time of the Season" became a surprise hit in early 1969, and Columbia Records (in the United States) re-released Odessey in February, with a different album cover that severely cropped the original illustration

my records are condition graded visually in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:

MINT (M): Unplayed, pristine condition, often still sealed.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in almost brand new condition with no apparent surface marks, full original vinyl lustre, and no deterioration in sound quality.The cover and any extra items are in near perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and/or packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record obviously has been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and/or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably, perhaps with some distortion and/or scratches. The cover and/or contents may suffer from folding, scuffing, spine-splits, major discolouration, etc.
