ZOMBIES: Odessey And Oracle, UK CBS 1968 1st pressing STEREO LP, S 63280. This superb LP comes with the earliest possible (undocumented?) A2, B1 matrixes. I can find no other copy sold that has this earliest matrix. Usually STEREO 'originals' have the A2, B2 matrix.

You will possibly be bidding on by far the rarest issue of this LP, at least (dare I say) 50 times rarer than any 1st issue MONO 1st pressing, which is normally considered the 'rarer' version of this LP. This issue comes on the 'rough' CBS label. A slightly later A2, B2 rough label pressing also exists. Still later smooth label (still A2, B2) CBS stereo pressings with the gold sticker are from 1969 to 1970, probably repressed when the sole hit Time Of The Season created new demand for this LP.

The reason for the great rarity of this earliest stereo pressing can only be guessed at. Maybe it wasn't marketed in stereo at first in the UK, while only a small batch (could be as few as 100 or 200) could have been made for Scandinavian export. This LP is immensely rare in Scandinavia, so the numbers must have been small, if the export theory holds. This particular LP was bought on June 1st 1968, in Denmark, a few weeks after the initial release date. There is a tiny 'purchase date' on the back cover made by the 1st owner.

All speculation aside, this is a hyper rare 1st STEREO pressing. The maxtrixes speak for themselves.

The BEST NEWS is that this is also a truly unbelievable copy here! It is hard to imagine that another A2, B1 stereo Odessey And Oracle exists in this kind of condition!!

VINYL is graded MINT-, played 2-3 times I believe. This vinyl shines as new. Only a few nearly invisble (except under strong light) wispy, ultra thin harilines are present (so light that many would never go as far as calling them hairlines). Absolutely & positively stunning vinyl! Plays with perfect Nr MINT sound from A to Z. A pure joy to listen to!

COVER is graded MINT-, see pics. A barely visible vertical lamination crease near back spine on front. A tiny, tiny amont of wear on lower right corner. Has the 1.6.1968 date on back in thin blue pen, in upper right corner.

This LP comes with a near perfect UK 1968 CBS add inner, the same one used with the 1st MONO pressings. The fact of the near perfect condition of this inner, speaks for itself!

• MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or 
• else.
• EX is also VERY nice, 2-3 light marks perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
• VG+, a nice player, but probably has some visual impairments, and some clicks or light noise in places; always see the individual description.
• VG: Rarely put of for sale, an ok copy, but always see the individual description.
