Description

Yesterday's Children - Map City Records, New York - Stereo MAP-3012. VG+/VG. Yesterday's Children were an American garage band formed in Cheshire Prospect, Connecticut in 1966. They transitioned into a progressive heavy metal band and released one cult classic album in 1969 before disbanding. Yesterday's Children featured brothers Dennis and Richard Croce, Ralph Muscatelli, Reggie Wright, and Chuck Maher. The LP Yesterday's Children exemplifies the group's progressive heavy metal sound marked by Croce's searing vocals and wails, and fuzz-toned double guitars. Music critics have describe the cult classic LP as a "stunning object to behold", "an underground classic", "a forgotten gem", and an album with "blues and psychedelic influences in an attempt to deliver something distinctly harder edged". The LP vinyl is in VG+ condition or better, glossy on both sides with two light paper sleeve scuffs on Side Two. The LP jacket is in VG condition, still protected in its original shrinkwrap that has some cellophane rips. The corners of the LP jacket are softened and dented a bit. Psychedelic album cover art by Heavy Metal comic artist Michael Kanarek. Songs include: Paranoia, Sad Born Loser, What Of I, She's Easy, Sailing, Providence Bummer, Evil Woman, Hunter's Moon. A great original pressing LP, just what you would want to hear from 1969, heavy, bluesy, and trippy. Buyer agrees to pay $3.99 shipping. Payment is required within 2 days. Thanks for looking!
