Description
YES - THE GOLDEN AGE Unreleased studio album from 1979
The progressive rock band Yes ended their "Tourmato" tour in the summer of 1979 and then settled in Paris with producer Roy Thomas Baker. The intent was to record a concept album that would establish a new direction for the band, with narrative lyricism and more accessible musical arrangements. However, disagreements among the bandmates (plus an ankle injury to drummer Alan White) repeatedly derailed the sessions until singer Jon Anderson and keyboardist Rick Wakeman left in frustration in early 1980.
This vinyl LP compiles the best existing recordings from those sessions and offers a vision of what this "lost" album would have been. The record and jacket are each in excellent condition. However, be aware that the master tapes from these sessions were lost/destroyed long ago, and the surviving copies vary in quality from one song to the next.
