Description

Rare first press stereo copy of Yellow Submarine by The Beatles released in 1969.
It's on the green Apple label with 'Sold In UK' text and red lines on the back of the sleeve.

This one is from my own personal collection which I am now downsizing. It's been stored in an acid free cover and box for years now. I think I've only played it twice (including listening now to check it through!).
It's a nice all-round copy, but here's an honest and detailed breakdown so you know what you're getting:
The sleeve is good for its age - slight discolouration (at the bottom) and creasing to the side opening. But still sturdy and strong with flipbacks and spine in tact. Slight scuffing below the side two song titles and a name written on the back. Used, as expected, but nothing too bad. It has the rare original black inner sleeve. This has the odd tear and crease - but no splits.
The vinyl, visually, is good for its age, though does have a few hairline marks and the odd light scuff in the light. The labels are very nice - not much spindlewear at all - someone has written what appears to be a surname on each label.
I played it through on my machine and it was fine bar one stick on track 3, side 2. However, my machine isn't particularly great (an old 1990s Sony hi-fi) and i've never cleaned the record. So you may have more success - but I can't guarantee a clean play.
Matrixes are YEX 715-1 and YEX 71 -1 Stamps are nice and low at 1/0 and  1/H.
Overall then this is a good - very good in places - solid copy of a rare classic. Not perfect, but still very desirable - and rising in interest among collectors every day.

Thanks for looking.
