VINYL GRADING:

SEALED (S)

Mint (M) : Almost perfect. No or few use (playing). To be graded Mint, it must be close to sealed.

Near Mint (NM or M-) : It might have some playing occasions, but the record itself must not show clear signs of usage.

Very Good Plus (VG+) : It shows some signs of usage, but kept in good conditions: it means that the vinyl surface may show some indications of wear, like slight scuffs or light scratches, thought it does not affect his listening. The center label can show a ring wear or discoloration.

Very Good (VG) : The defects observed in a VG+ graded record will be more pronounced for VG. Increased surface noise while playing, most hearable in silent moments or during intros or fade outs, but still, these noises will not overpower the music sound itself.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+) : Well, these are obviously in poor conditions comparing to the grading above mentioned but still, these a records in a pretty good condition, playable all through, without skipping. These records can show some significant surface noise, scratches and visible groove usage.

JACKET GRADING:

STILL SEALED (SS) :  Sealed, but the jacket can show some usage, but these observations will always be discribed (ex: light ring wear from sitting for years, etc.)

Mint (M) :  It is not sealed, can have the original plastic protection, or even without it, it shows almost undetectable deteriorations.

Near Mint (NM or M-) :   Almost new jacket. It shows no clear signs of wear, without creases, folds, or other  similar defects.

Very Good Plus (VG+) : The jacket can show some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split..The jacket may show some signs of ring wear.

Very Good (VG) :  The jacket can show some of the defects above listed in VG+. It may show larger seam splits. The jacket may also show small writings, or have tape, stickers, or marks of previous attachments. (These defects will be described in every occasion)

Good (G), Good Plus (G+) :   The jacket can show seam splits, normally at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will affect partially the look of jacket.

Poor (P), Fair (F)   Well these jackets can show some water damaged, splits on all three seams, tremendous wear and writing. The record cover would appear near collapse.
