YUSEF LATEEF 'BEFORE DAWN' LP VERVE RECORDS MONO MGV 8217  * * * Totally rare and obscure 1958 record from Yusef Lateef and his Detroit All Stars. ORIGINAL MONO pressing, w/ Black DEEP GROOVE "trumpeteer" labels! Curtis Fuller, Hugh Lawson, Ernie Farrow, and Louis Hayes all in top form on this rare record.   Includes original rice paper sleeve, which has kept the vinyl in great condition over the years!   W/ liner notes by Nat Hentoff. This record has been cleaned on a professional VPI machine * * *   VINYL: VG++ (Almost near mint - No scratches on this pristine vinyl! Only minor sleeve markings , which are nearly invisible. Beautiful!) LABELS:NM (DEEP GROOVE "Trumpeteer" labels Look flawless!) COVER: VG++ (Cover looks excellent, w/ some minimal ring wear and general wear. All corners nice and firm, w/ no 'bumps'.
