One of the few Unplugged series releases that actually fitted on one record, given the acoustic dynamics, gets its first official vinyl reissue here, Neil Young spread across two discs with an etched fourth side. This was Young's second attempt at the live session, having scrapped the first after taking against his band's performances. The released version features three-quarters of the Stray Gators alongside Nils Lofgren and backing singers Nicolette Larson and Astrid Young, with the overall feel sitting close to Harvest Moon, recorded the previous year with much the same personnel. The setlist includes 'Stringman', a piano-and-voice piece long circulating via a bootleg of the Chrome Dreams acetate, here given its first official release, and 'Like A Hurricane', rendered on the unusual vessel that is pump organ.
