Description

YOU CAN ALL JOIN IN Vinyl LP 1969 Great Compilation Island Records
When the Island label sampler You Can All Join In crashed the U.K. Top 20 in June 1969, it represented one of the most unexpected marketing triumphs of the age -- an (admittedly budget-priced) gathering of underground unknowns riding the label's own reputation for keeping its finger on the pulse, and out-performing many of the era's bona fide superstars. Wynder K. Frog, Art, Tramline, Clouds -- these were not names one normally expected to find hogging the number 18 slot on the chart. (Dave Thompson, AllMusic)

I have graded the vinyl Very Good Plus but must point out that for 58 seconds into the first track on Side 1 there is a loud tic, due to a mark on the edge of Side 1, reduces to a light tic after a minute, so heard I'd say for 90 seconds or so.  The rest is good and so I think the grading is fair.
I have graded the sleeve Very Good Plus

  • Matrix / Runout (Runout side A, stamped): IWP+2+A1
  • Matrix / Runout (Runout side B, stamped): IWP+2+B1

First edition with Island 'eye' solid pink textured labels, issued in a front-laminated card picture sleeve; Oxford Street address on rear.
This version appears to be similar to You Can All Join In but on the labels "MADE IN ENGLAND" appears above "℗ 1969" while on the other this text is curved along the label edge below it.
