Description

This was the 2nd appearance of the "new Who" with Kenny Jones on drums and John Bundrick on keyboards. After a show at the Rainbow Theatre in London on May 2, 1979 they headed to France to play two shows at an ancient Roman amphitheatre in Frejus, near Cannes. This show is the first one and coincided with the release of the film Quadrophenia which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. Ten thousand ecstatic fans turned out to see the band play with renewed vigor with Pete playing especially well. The British music press gave both shows at Frejus rave reviews. Less than a year after Keith's death, The Who were back!

The 3lp's are in immaculate/unplayed condition! The only defects I can find are some minor blue pen marks on a couple of the labels. No spindle-marks, no scratches, no scuffs...Perfect!!! I'll play it ultra-conservative and say they are M- but it's very likely they are unplayed. The box cover has a piece missing from the top edge(about 6 inches) with edge splits in the corners. Scotch tape in a few places along the edge and a little on the face in the lower right hand corner. A couple of removed stickers on upper right but no actual tearing. The box itself has one piece of tape in one of the corners. Insert gives set listing and a review of the show and has a couple of pen marks in corner so VG+. I've tried to include pictures but I'm not sure they turned out very well. Please feel free to email any questions....
