1967/Canada/Yorkville Records YVM 33001….. here's a clean original pressing of this rare Canadian lp. The thick laminated cover is in Excellent clean condition with a tiny delete hole lower right corner, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits. The vinyl is in M- new looking condition. The record is glossy and clean with maybe a couple of plays and plays clean. The labels are clean with no spindle marks. A gorgous copy of this rare lp. Keeper Kopy never turns up in this shape! Great 60?s Canadian compilation featuring some cool Canadian garage punk, psych and soul bands, including the Ugly Ducklings, The Stitch in Tyme, the Sugar Shoppe, Terry Black and the Quiet Jungle, to name a few. Super cool groovy go-go strobe light dancing girl cover. Highlights include the classic dark ominous 60?s garage punk ballad “Gaslight” by the Ugly Ducklings, with its apocalyptic drums, swirly string acid trip vibe and cavernous echoplex effects. Even better, possibly, is an unexpected Eastern hookah tent turn by soft poppers the Sugar Shoppe on “Attitude,” which spins out of control on a whirligig of sawing strings, Eastern bellydance vibes, and all kinds of echoed-out nursery rhyme toybox sound effects. It’s a nifty little slice of turned-on soft pop, like Syd Barrett jamming with the Free Design on a rainy afternoon, with a message to boot. “Drop the attitude, baby!”
