I HAVE JUST BOUGHT THE BEST NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL / HEAVY METAL / HARD ROCK COLLECTION I HAVE SEEN IN 35+ YEARS. THIS COLLECTION CAME FROM AN INDUSTRY PERSON WHO WORKED IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY BETWEEM THE LATE 70'S AND LATE 80'S SPECIALISING IN ONLY NWOBHM / HARD ROCK / METAL ETC....so keep watching over the next few weeks, as a lot of the items I have for sale never been offered before, most come with letters and promo inserts etc....
This is a RARE UK PROMO ONLY DJ VERSION of THE PROG ROCK 12" by the band YES from 1977, ORIGINAL UK PROMO ONLY VERSION IN MINT CONDITION AND A MUST !!! This 12" is unique, side 1 looks like it has 5 tracks, but plays a 15 minutes 38 seconds of the track "AWAKEN", while side 2 looks like it has 6 tracks and is blank !!!!
This copy includes SPECIAL PROMO ONLY DJ VERSIONS of the songs and was sent to RADIO STATION in order to get early plays, these versions are different to the released versions !!! It also comes with the ATLANTIC RECORDS DIE CUT SLEEVE and plays at 33 1/3rpm rather then 45rpm.
The 12" was pressed in 1977 on ATLANTIC RECORDS catalogue number BY-5 / BY-6.
The songs are: AWAKEN (SPECIAL DJ VERSION) 15.38 / BLANK although it looks like it has 6 tracks on it !!! The condition is: VINYL is in EX+++++/NEAR MINT (PLAYED ONCE), ATLANTIC RECORDS DIE CUT SLEEVE is in VG++++. All the records I am selling came from a major radio person who received them first time around and never played them, or maybe played them once and stored them until now !!!
DON'T LET THIS RARE PROG ROCK, PROMO ONLY VERSIONS 12" single get away as you will NEVER see another one.
