Description
This is a very rare example of the 1970 FIRST PRESSING of the YES album ‘TIME AND A WORD’. It comes complete with the original sleeve, original insert with lyrics and disc with the classic and very sought after ATLANTIC PLUM label , with the Catalogue number 2400006 and MATRIX NUMBERS 2400006 AV1 and 2400006 BV2 .
This disc is part of my personal record collection and has been in my possession since purchase in 1970. It has been rarely played as it was my practice to record all new discs to my stereo tape deck , play the recordings on a day to day basis and archive the discs. I apply the Record Collector Magazine grading classification rigorously to all the discs I offer for sale. The ratings are
Sleeve: in MINT condition , see photos.
Inner Sleeve: MINT condition – though it is always my practice to include the original but post the disc in a brand new inner.

Disc: The disc is the BEST that I have offered for sale on Ebay. The sound is truly excellent, like the day the disc was bought. There is absolutely no distortion and the depth and colour is superb. There is also no surface noise at all. I have always held the view that I cannot classify a disc which is over 40 years old as being in MINT condition, BUT THIS ONE IS!!!!
The disc will be packaged very carefully for posting. I am happy to answer any questions about the product.
It is my honest opinion that you will not find a better copy of this rare and extremely sought after disc. Also, for myself, it is probably my favourite YES album - a great bridge between the earlier and more jazzy feel of YES and the more electronics dominated later period.
This album is definitely worth the initial asking price and much, much more! Enjoy bidding!
