Description
British progressive rock legends Yes had to come up with something big to follow up 1983's smash hit album '90125', (released FORTY years ago). They waited until 1987, and the result was an album called 'Big Generator'. Now this one did not explode like '90125', but it nonetheless has some really great tracks on it! It's the same lineup as '90125', and Trevor Horn produced. (Not the whole album, actually, as he quit while working on this record...but Trevor Rabin stepped in and finished the album, with Paul DeVilliers). Sadly, both Alan White and Chris Squire, Yes's rhythm section, both passed away. Chris Squire in 2015, and Alan White in 2022. (RIP to you both. Each of you was an integral and influential part of one of the greatest progressive bands that ever was!)
Two songs from 'Big Generator' became big hits: "Rhythm of Love" and "Love Will Find a Way". A deep track called "Shoot High, Aim Low" is mind-blowing, and the title track is really good as well! In today's look back at 80s rock, you'll get BOTH the 'Big Generator' LP, STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED, and a 12" of "Rhythm of Love", with THREE mixes of that great track (plus a live edit of "City of Love")!
The LP is, as mentioned, is new and factory sealed. There is a cut-out notch on it, as well as the hype stickers. The 12" comes in its original jacket, and original inner paper sleeve. Vinyl looks really good, with only a couple of very light surface marks that I can see. Nothing too bad, and no scratches, gouges, or scuffs. Jacket looks great! A really nice double shot of 80s Yes, and available today, at a nice price!
