Description
For sale is XTC's Drums And Wires, originally released in 1979 by Virgin Records. This is a promotional copy with a gold stamp on the front cover. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, edge rubs and corner blunts. The spine has some color loss from these rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of a few sleeve marks and very fine surface scratches. I'm play-grading it VG+ because there is occasional surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet passages. This has been played on state-of-the-art equipment and has a lot of life left to it. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more Rock and Roll albums, as well as records of all different genres in my Ebay store. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
