Extremely Rare Test Pressing:

 The Great Paris Concert

Presswell Records (test pressing for Atlantic Records)

This is an extremely rare 1972 test pressing of Duke Ellington - The Great Paris Concert double album released in 1973 by Atlantic Records.  Presswell Records was based in New Jersey and was owned by Atlantic.  They did test pressings on Atlantic albums as well as supplemental pressing runs when Atlantic couldn't handle the manufacturing volume themselves. 

The content was recorded live over a 3 week timespan in Paris in February, 1963.  In plain white album covers with handwritten title and contents.  The records themselvers are in clear polyethylene sleeves with blank white Presswell Records Test Pressing labels.  The inner wax numbers are ST-A-722715-A; 16-A; 17-B; and 18-A.

The actual 1973 release contained an additional cut not listed here (though it may be on the albums - just not listed) -- "Kinda Dukish". 

I am not an expert on LPs and am not set up to play them but this double album is immaculate and appears unplayed.  The wax is clean, unblemished, and shiny.
