A few months ago, I bought a small collection of classy Aussie 7"s of the 1977-1982 punk/new wave scene from a local guy here, who was immersed in that scene for that period, and then removed himself completely from it (had a family, etc...)...but he'd never sold anything.

This record below is one of that collection:

ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?:    Yes, it is!...plain white, rubber-stamped sleeve.

The guy I bought this from was having a birthday party in 1980, and XL-Capris played at it (he was 'in' with the band, so lots of their mutual friends attended).

He asked all 4 members of the band to sign it  - Errol Cruz (Tim Gooding), Dag Rattler (Kimble Rendall - later of the original Le Hoodoo Gurus), Alligator Bagg (Johanna Pigott), and Nancy Serapax (former model and actress Julie Anderson) - which they did, with their stage names, on the labels (with added small messages). Some of them signed the sleeve too. He also got some of his friends of his to sign it too - they included Michael Orland (of the band Harold Holt and the Sharks - and later a revered playwright and theatrical composer) - others signed it semi-anonymously: "I'm Dag's cousin"...and..."Jenny who lives with Nancy"...and..."I saw them at the Nimrod New Years Eve 1978"...

Sleeve has some water staining, and smudging of parts of the rubber-stamping.

CONDITION:

SLEEVE: ( VG+ )...

VINYL: ( VG+[+] )...shiny still, with some light marks/scuffs only (nothing heavy at all - plays beautifully!)...

LABELS: (Side One: EX- / Side Two: EX- )...both labels would be mint if not for the signatures....
