Description

This a rare 1977 white label pre-release promo of 'Whole Wide World'.  I got this copy from a record dealer in about 1978 when I was collecting the Stiff label and have owned it ever since.  The B-side is 'Semaphore Signals', like on the main release.

It was common to have 'Wreckless Eric  Whole Wide World' hand written on the A-side label (see discogs ref r3544795, where it has sold for crazy money).  Here, someone has tippexed that out, though you can just about see the writing underneath.

Condition: Ex minus
  • Has just been cleaned in a Spincare record cleaner.
  • Paper labels are fully intact, aside from the writing being tippexed out on the A side.  The B side never had anything written or printed on it.
  • Looks excellent in normal light but can make out some light handling marks and the lightest of hairlines under inspection light.
  • Can only make out one spindle mark on the B-side label and none on the A-side label, so I think the record was only ever played once and only the A-side.
In its original Stiff company sleeve, which is in excellent condition.
