Description
This is a fine copy of a fine 1997 comp of rare '60s to early '70s acid rock singles. Some of these tracks were comped here for the first time -- a real feat for a record put out almost two decades after this period began to be mined in earnest -- including highlights like Pretty's "Mustache in Your Face," Gold's "Favours from the Sky," and the Village S.T.O.P.'s "Vibration." Another highlight, comped here for the second time (per Discogs), is Arkansas group the Purple Canteen's singular "Brains in My Feet." Most of the groups represented were from the U.S.; Village S.T.O.P. was Canadian, and both Gold and Cerebrum (who are represented by the almost indescribable pastiche "Eagle Death") were European groups. A unique collection in a very crowded field! The record was reissued in 2012 -- this copy is from the original pressing. The jacket is close to pristine (M-). The disc is clean with some light scuffing on side 1, and plays with minimal surface noise (not counting noise from the source discs) (M-).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs.
