Description

Artist: The Miles Davis Quintet Title: Workin' with the Miles Davis Quintet Label/Number: Prestige PRLP-7166 (M) Jacket condition: VG Record condition: VG Notes: This is one of those LP's that I occasionally sell under the description of "rough but rare". The cover is in decent shape but it does have some ring wear and some seam and corner wear. The top seam is split and neatly taped for about 4 inches at the opening and there are a couple of other smaller splits that are not taped. There is also some minor "age yellowing" on the back cover. The labels are in pretty nice condition but do have several light spindle marks. The vinyl still has good gloss but it has a considerable number of scuffs and scratches that detract from its appearance and warrants the VG grade that I've assigned. The music predominates but it plays with a fair amount surface noise and a number of light ticks and pops. Grading: Grading is usually only visual unless there are obvious problems that need to be checked out. I did play this one as noted above. I use Goldmine standards with Ebay's EX grade added for items NOT QUITE up to NM; but please read the notes above as I try to note anything that might influence the grading one way or another. I try to be conservative and grade as though I were buying the record and hope my feedback speaks well for my grading. Mono (M) or Stereo (S) is noted after catalog number. Don't hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail with delivery confirmation. I ship in cardboard mailers made specifically for records with additional cardboard pads for added protection. Shipping and handling charges are a flat $4.00 for the first LP and $1.00 per additional LP. Overseas shipping on purchases under $100.00 may be sent by USPS First Class Mail International but I will upgrade at the buyer's request. Orders for more than $100.00 will need to be by Priority Mail International. This provides added protection for both the buyer and for me. The price will be the actual shipping costs plus $1.50 for the mailer and pads noted above. I know that customs charges are problematic but, sorry to say, I cannot lower the value on the customs form below the purchase price.

I always mail in a poly sleeve with the record outside the jacket. If there's an original inner sleeve I also remove the record from that and put it in a plain sleeve for mailing. That way, there are no seam splits on either the jacket or the sleeve due to any handling in the mail. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs for multiple purchases.

Don't hesitate to check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list, too.
