Description

With the Beatles.

PCS 3045
YEX 110 2/YEX 111 2

Very highly sought after UK first press in stereo to the best of my knowledge. This would originally have been purchased within weeks or months of original release.

Stereo pressings of these early yellow and black label original copies were significantly outnumbered by their mono counterparts due to their increased cost & the as yet underdeveloped nature of Stereo technology.

Firstly, the record:

Visually very impressive. Apart from a non offensive name tag on side A both labels are clean & unmarked with next to no spindle markings. This seems like a seldom played record. Only lightly marked on either playing surface which I've tried my best to show in the pictures. A professional clean wouldn't go amiss but it's not in dire need as it retains a good amount of its original sheen.

I have play tested this record (no *visual testing only nonsense*) & it is glorious from start to finish. No significant deterioration in sound quality at all with barely even any between track crackle.

Secondly, the sleeve:

Generally really great. Strong & undamaged. Clean & unmarked save for a name tag on the front & slight age discoloration on the back. Flawless spine as you can see from the picture.

Comes with an undamaged original emitex inner which has a really cool & unusual green EMI stamp.

Further notes:

Track B3 incorrectly listed as *You Really Gotta Hold on Me* on both label & sleeve indicating that this was one of the very first copies out of the plant. Subsequent labels were corrected pretty quickly and sleeves followed suit;

Track B7 shows incorrect Jobete credit;

KT tax code on side B;

G & L flipback sleeve with exceptionally rare large bold Stereo banner on the front.

In summary - a very rare record in fantastic collectable condition. If I I didn't already have a copy with sentimental value attached there is no way in hell I'd be parting with it. I have included the vital discogs statistics for your reference.

I post promptly and securely and I sometimes use recycled packaging.

Polite disclaimer:

If you don't have the means to pay for a bid within 48 hours of sale then please let me know before bidding.

Also if you intend making an offer but you have further questions about the items for sale, then you should ask them *prior to making that offer. By making an offer you are committed to the sale should the retailer accept it as per eBay terms and conditions. Sorry to have to mention this but I've suffered some frankly rotten buying etiquette recently.

Domestic or GSP buyers only please.

Check out my feedback, bid with confidence, & thanks for looking!
