UK 1963 *1st MONO* PRESSING LP
On the black & yellow Parlophone label - PMC 1206
Both labels OMIT the 'Sold in UK..' label text but have 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label carries the incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold' On Me' Spelling and the 'Jobete' publishing cedit for 'Money'.
An early 'MKT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in the early & rare front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the darker front image and incorrect 'You Really Gotta Hold' On Me' tracklisting.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex' poly-lined inner.

Superb bright, clean and high-gloss surfaces which apart from two light stylus hairlines are unmarked when viewed in strong daylight. Inspection directly under halogen light reveals nothing more than some harmless wispy inner-sleeve removal/paper hairlines but no further marks or wear. Extremely thick vinyl which lies 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
Rarely for this title, this copy has received just a few careul plays and the sound from this pristine '-1N' pressing is massive and outstanding in its clarity and power. All tracks play without any traces of background noise or groovewear distortion - even on the innermost cuts. Apart form a faint 'swish' between some trcks on side 1, both run-ins and all bands play silently and of course there are no clicks, pops, jumps or indeed any traces of audible wear on this superb sounding copy.

EXCELLENT
A first-class early example with a bright & glossy front panel which displays just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle but no creasing or any other significant wear. All corners and both opening edges are clean, square and totally undamaged. The rear panel has some slight natural age toning to the paper but no marks, writing or missing paper. All the flipbacks are intact, both seams unsplit and the spine is fully & clearly worded.
