Description

The Beatles - With The Beatles
This superb copy of The Beatles 2nd studio album, With the Beatles, is a complete and original UK MONO 1st pressing which features the extremely sought after yellow and black Parlophone labels.
The vinyl has the extremely rare 1st variant black and yellow Parlophone labels with both misprints. These are: 'Jobete' mis-credit for 'Money' and 'You Really Gotta Hold on Me' printed instead of 'You Really Got a Hold On Me'. After the success of Please Please Me EMI received 200,000 pre-orders for With the Beatles. As a result, thousands of records had to be produced in a short time. Only a small portion of those produced features the 1N/1N matrix numbers and a tiny fraction of these feature the Jobete label misprint. The result is an extremely rare record!
This copy comes with a front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve with solid 'MONO' text to the front side and 'You Really Gotta Hold on Me' misprint to the rear.
The album is complete with the original polythene lined die-cut Emitex 'protect your records' inner sleeve.

Condition:
Vinyl: EXCELLENT
Labels: EXCELLENT
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. Only a handful of spindle marks can be seen to either side.
Visual: EXCELLENT
The record displays superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. Only a handful of light paper scuffs can be seen in bright daylight - none are feel-able. Underneath the glare of a halogen desk lamp a handful of barely visible wispy paper hairlines can be seen alongside an iridescent rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +
The audio is fantastic. Take a listen for yourself:

Side 1:

Side 2:

As can be heard on the recordings this is a copy that has been well looked after. Playback develops with superb clarity and distinction. The dead wax is remarkably quiet. Vocals are clear, the bass is punchy and the treble is full. Very nice.
I should add, the overly bright elements at the end of Side 1 are a known signature of this mix and not a consequence of any pressing defect or wear.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The sleeve is in fantastic condition. The front side retains the original lustre and maintains deep colours without any fading. The reverse is very clean with just subtle discolouration on the opening edge from handling.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. It is very clean and displays only mild creasing. Also included in the sale is an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve that the record is stored within.

The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
