Description

An original copy of WTB on UK Parlophone from summer 1969. Matrix 2/2 [incidentally same as 1st cut]. Please note there's NO Sold In The UK statement - and this was discontinued summer 1969. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo 2 flipback cover. I'm thinking - this cover is probably from 12 months after the record was actually pressed [a switch at some point no doubt]. But it is ostensibly pretty much the same thing so no major compromise. In fact, given the quality of the audio contained within I would argue - zero problem at all. We also have an original late 60's EMI advertising inner sleeve too.
Vinyl (Ex+) I'd love to throw this sort of grading about left right and centre. But 'hey' you know what - 60's records almost never truly attain a proper Ex+ grading. This example is most definitely an exception to the rule. In beautiful condition and has only seen the lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Truly unbelievable condition and it really is seriously unusual finding an original 60's copy a)looking this good and b)playing as god or better than it looks. Such an unusual find. Easy to grade as it plays borderline perfect throughout. Pefectly quiet in all areas. Zero background anywhere. Clean as a whistle even into lowkey sections. The perfect playing copy I would argue. FINAL UPRAGDE.
Cover (Ex-) In very respectable condition with a lovely shiny and flat front - just a couple of minor thumbnails. The rear has avoided most of the ageing process - maybe just slightest evidence in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the openings firm. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains verygood rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
