Description

An original 1st of Pilgrimage on the UK MCA Dogbone label. Matrix 1L/2L. Stampers 1U/1K - placing it amongst the first few thousand copies pressed. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed  in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original blue and white Decca inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. There are a couple of light marks per side, and one superficial trail on the last two tracks of side 1. I've tested it thoroughly it is very superficial and does not remotely enter the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Beautifully clean audio which allows this classic album to flow out of the speakers totally unhindered. And you need it to play clean because some tracks are rockers and others have much quieter passages. This copy will deliver them all up with a superb level of reproduction. Interference largely absent. I'l so my usual catch-all you might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A superb rendition from this genuine 1st.
Cover (Ex-) Very nice and clean front and back without the usual creasing. The interior looks great - no issues at all. Edge wear is relatively light and the openings still sharpish. The text on the spine is all legible, but it has faded somewhat. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits.
