Description

An original 1st press of the DEBUT on the UK MCA pink and red label from 1970. Please note 1st label variation for the DEBUT is this one...later copies were the blue and black hexagon and the solid black. THIS is the 1st press! Matrix "7-225/7-224". The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original wide spine cover printed in England by Moore and Matthes. Also included is a blue and white inner sleeve from the time. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side, and one light perpendicular mark in track 1 that is vaguely/borderline audible sporadically/momentarily. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Beautiful audio comes rolling off this lovely solid pressing. Interference is, thankfully, both minor and infrequent. The only vague issue we picked up were a few light ticks in Track 1. Nothing noticeable - just the occasional sporadic tick here and there hidden in the background [the sought you have to concentrate on to pick out] and a couple of audible ticks in the interlude between T1 & T2. Overall delivery is really nice and clean with nothing more than a touch of very lightest static in one or two brief moments. Overall the album plays back at a very high standard in deed.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) A difficult cover to find in top condition due to the absence of lamination. But this example is STUNNING and has clearly been looked after. Lovely clean front and back with barely a crease and the hues and colours are absolutely pristine. Ditto the rear..only super-light handling even vaguely evident.  Difficult to find fault with the interior - no issues at all. Edge wear is supremely light with the front card sheet remaining very firm. Difficult to imagine there are any better examples out there. The spine is closing in on perfect - and this extremely unusual for this title. All text on the spine fully legible. A truly impressive example.
