INFO : A super clean original Aussie issue of this 4th single from 6-piece US soul-funk outfit The Winstons, none of who carry that name. Whilst the A-side is a well known smooth soul track picked up the grammy award for best R&B song of the year. Whilst it charted pretty high across the globe, here in OZ, it is the groovy instrumental B-side that gained later attention during the 80’s with the rise of hip-hop. The killer drum break here has since become one of the most sampled recordings of all time for it’s punchy, catchy and totally addictive beat.
CONDITION: Note : All records (except where Mint) have been vacuum-machine cleaned and fully played on a quality system to determine an accurate grading.
This item will be safely packed and includes a new outer plastic cover.
VINYL : Excellent. Thick 60’s slab and heaps of shine. Barely a light mark either side, faint paper scuffs if anything and plays through sweetly with no concerns whatsoever. A bright and clear playback and great clean sound throughout. No pops, clicks, hiss etc and rated EX+.
LABELS : Clean as per photos above.
SLEEVE : Company cover in excellent condition. No marks. No splits.
