Wings rare psych funk 70s Nigeria LP Listen!

The Wings - Tribute to Spud Nathan EMI 0192 Nigeria 1983
Absolutely brilliant album by the well respected Wings in tribute to band member Spud Nathan who had passed away a few years prior to this release. The music is rooted in soul, funk, afrobeat and psych rock. Groove after groove, this one is a corner stone in any collection of Nigerian psych funk/rock which I personally rate higher than Ofege's 1st album (ssssht!). Released in 1983 but sounding way earlier and it probably was recorded in the 70s.
Side A Spud Nathan Your love is true Tell me Dont call me fool Love is for us Sit up
Side B Love is meant for two Just kudding Talk it out We are the people

Grading: Vinyl: VG to VG+ (some hiss and clicks mostly in silent parts but the music is very loud so plays well. On side A the first few grooves are slightly affected by a kind of bite mark that could cause some noise, though on my turntable it's hardly evident. See snippet 1) Sleeve: VG (general ring wear and worn edges)
Disclaimer on condition: This record is part of a box of vinyl that has spent the past three decades in the humid and hot climate of Nigeria, and storage for many of these records typically has been less than careful. To find a mint condition Nigerian record is very hard, VG+ is often the best grade, and for the rarest copies we may be lucky to even find a VG- copy. To be sure that you're fine with the condition of the album, make sure you listen to the snippets.
Payment: Buyer is expected to pay through Paypal within seven days after auction is over, or I will have to cancel the sale and report to Ebay.

Browse my other items and look for a fat stack of West African / Nigerian / Ghanaian disco / boogie / funk / modern soul albums which I am posting this week... think Charles Amoah, William Onyeabor, Pat Thomas and other relatives of Oby Onyioah, Veno, Brakes, Xtasy, you know the drill.

Please wait for me to send an invoice with the total amount for your order. US bidders make sure you don't check out with the U$4 shipping option because shipping to US is more expensive.
