Willie Nelson is a musical phenomenon and an American icon. His legendary musical career
began in the 50’s, followed with a plethora of hit songs written for the likes of Ray Price,
Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison, and then his own six decades plus recording career in the
country, rock, pop, adult, and even jazz genres, sharing his legendary vocal, guitar and
songwriting persona for millions of fans worldwide.
With 1976’s "Make Way For Willie" Lp, Willie Nelson teams up with superstar producer
Felton Jarvis (Elvis Presley, Charlie Pride, Michael Nesmith) creating one of his more
successful top charting hit albums during his early recording career with RCA Records.
The top ten album features Willie’s stellar interpretations of pop and country favorites,
which truly show the performer side of this legendary icon. Definitive hit versions of classics
"What Now My Love" "Have I Stayed Away Too Long? " and Hank Williams' "Mansion On The
Hill" all became Willie Nelson fan favorites making this one of the more enduring albums of
the time.
His self-penned smash "One In A Row" brought the artist more fame as it hit the Top 20 later
that year giving Willie Nelson fans another reason to truly dig the sounds and artistry of the
artist as his marquee continued to climb in the late 60's and beyond.
This fine album has been out of print for decades on vinyl, and it is our honor to announce
the first time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl presentation of "Make Way For Willie" by the
legendary Willie Nelson on Friday Music. This limited edition audiophile masterpiece is now
impeccably mastered by Joe Reagoso (Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash/Elvis Presley) and also
for a very limited time is pressed by R.T.I. on translucent gold and blue swirl vinyl.
For this anniversary limited edition release, we are also featuring LP sized artwork not seen in
years, in a first time gatefold presentation, as well as a full color 24" x 24" poster of the
striking front album cover art.
