This disc has become highly regarded in the Northern Soul Clubs - it's a real up-tempo dancer and suits William Bell nicely. As usual, when the clubs pick up on a song, the price shoots up and is now listed at around fifteen pounds more than mine. However, as there is a name "Lowe" written on both labels, which detracts from its appearance, but not, of course, the sound, I will discount this considerably. There are others on Ebay at twice my price.

The vinyl is supplied in Excellent condition and in a replica Stax company sleeve.

Ebay and all buyers please note: the majority of the item (s) for sale are between 40 and 60 years old, but are most definitely in the best possible condition for their age. I play all “A” and many “B” sides on a 1960’s Monarch deck, to make sure they sound OK. If you want feedback left for you (and I always leave positive, no matter what) first you must leave it for me!

I know before a disc leaves my house that there is little, if any, problem with it so that should avoid most complaints. If anyone should find a record is not as described, I may have missed a test or it is more than possible that the defect could have been with the disc since it was pressed.

THE DISC (s) ON SALE and their COVERS

Pop, Easy Listening, Jazz, Reggae and Beat records are checked against Record Collector’s written or on-line Price Guide (rarerecordpriceguide.com), but Soul, Northern Soul and Motown records usually get a more accurate price from John Manship (raresoulman.co.uk) and so I go to that site first. I only use the categories Very Good, Excellent and occasionally Near Mint as defined by Record Collector, but with mid-points + or – if necessary. Detail information is obtained from the following highly recommended websites: 45cat.com, Discogs.com, Popsike.com, everyhit.com, officialcharts.com, and Wikipedia, (to which I contribute for the privilege).

Most records will be supplied in an original Company sleeve, if at all possible, but if not a replica will be included.

SPEED of OPERATIONS

Please don’t ask for fast delivery or complain about slow postage by me. I’m disabled, with an inoperable slipped disc touching on my spinal cord and specialists have only offered me 70/30 odds against surviving the operation. I post once a week when I can but am dependent on friends to assist. I can’t go any faster no matter how loud you complain but I do the very best I can. The record you get should be worth the wait.

POSTAGE and PACKAGING for U.K. BUYERS

DISCOUNTED POSTAGE RATES

1 – 5 singles (7”, 45 rpm records) are charged at the First Class Large Letter rate (20 cm x 20 cm x 2.5 cm, and weight under half a kilo) according to the Post Office website, (£1.71). A small price of 29p is added for professional packaging, making the total postage just £2.00 for up to 10 discs.

Larger parcels of singles and all LONG PLAYING RECORDS (LP’s - 12”, 33 rpm records, 34 cm x 34 cm x 2 cm, and of reasonable weight), will be sent by the courier firm myHermes. As before, a small packaging price of 37p will be applied so one LP will cost £3.50, then 2 or 3 LP’s £4.50 and 4 or 5 LP’s £6.50.

POSTAGE and PACKAGING for EUROPEAN and OVERSEAS BUYERS

Postage and packaging rates for Europe start at £3.70, and for America, Australia and other countries at between £10.00 and £13.00. In all cases, at least five or six discs can be placed in the package without affecting the price.

Packages bound for Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal and Eastern Europe can only be sent by myHermes or other private courier firms because of continued “lost” mail i.e. stolen. If the rates shown above are too expensive for you then you as the buyer should look elsewhere. For overseas territories, it would pay you to buy several items but keep the weight below 1 kilogram. THERE ARE CHEAPER RATES AVAILABLE BUT THE ADVERTISED CARRIER TIME CAN BE 6 – 10 WEEKS DEPENDING ON DESTINATION. YOUR RISK!
