Description
These are the original pressing of the complete five volumes of “Wildflowers: The New York Loft Jazz Sessions” on Douglas NBLP 7045-7049. The playing surfaces are in near-new to new condition, with a high luster; played once, if at all. Similarly, the covers are in near-new condition. These are not the commonly seen cut-outs with clipped or hole-punched covers – they are commercial store copies.
Wildflowers is the only recording series to capture the excitement and adventure of the fleeting loft scene in New York City.
Personnel include Kalapurusha Maurice McIntyre, Ken McIntyre, Sunny Murray, David Murray, Sam Rivers, Henry Threadgill, Anthony Braxton, Oliver Lake, Dave Burrell, Charles Brackeen, Andrew Cyrille, Hamiet Bluiett, Julius Hemphill, Jimmy Lyons, Roscoe Mitchell and many more.
