Description
"Time is the Answer" by Wildfire is a scarce and increasingly sought-after LP released in 1980 on the band's own Wild Fire label. They were out of the Caribbean island of Trinidad and play a mix of funk, soul and disco, basically the popular sounds of the day, and all tracks are originals. It's signed by bass player Oliver Chapman on the front - he appears to be the main guy in the band, writing or co-writing the majority of the songs and getting credit as arranger and producer. A 4 page insert is included with musician bios and lyrics.
The album grades EX with a few inaudible hairline scratches, though there will be a very small amount of noise during the quiet parts. Full disclosure: the spindle hole was too small to fit on my record player and I had to enlarge it with a soft pencil - it's still pretty tight. The good news is that this makes it unlikely it was played much back in the day. The labels are odd - both sides look like they were exposed to moisture, but on one side this is entirely within the inner circle of the label; on the other, it spills into the outer circle a bit. The thin sleeve is VG with a couple creases at the sides (longest is three inches), rubbing, a name written on the front (besides Chapman's). There are no seam splits, though there's wear at the edges. The insert has various small creases, is bent at the top right corner, has a few red marks in the interior.
