Description
This auction is for Alabama's 2nd album made when they were know as Wild Country & performing nightly in Myrtle Beach. It is "Deuces Wild" on Lesan International Inc LSI-177 from 1977. I purchased this album at a high-end antique store this week in Myrtle Beach. It has the band member's autographs on the back so I assume that it was purchased originally by a local person at one of their performances. Included is the autograph of Rick Scott who was their drummer at the time. Although some of the songs turned up on some of their later RCA albums, this one has several unique features.
Among them is an "up-tempo" version of "Lady Down On Love" & the great harmonica play of Teddy Gentry on "Tennessee River" It also has Rick Scott singing lead on "Lifetime Memories". Other selections include: I Wanna Be With You Tonight - Get It While It's Hot - Loving You Is Killing Me - Get This Rock & Roll Out Of My Butt & Take Me Back To Alabam - Some Other Place, Some Other Time. The record has been well played & has some light surface scratches. It has a cosmetic grade of 87 which is better than a VG+ but it plays even better with very little distraction. The cover has a little edgewear but no split seams & also grades 87.
