Description

Wilbur Harden w/ John Coltrane        Mainstream 1958    Savoy 12127 mono  Red label deep groove RVG

John Coltrane (ts), Wilbur Harden (flghn), Curtis Fuller (tb), Tommy Flanagan (p), Doug Watkins (b), Louis Hayes (d) Recorded 1958

"Blood red" label and deep groove both sides. "X20" and "RVG" in the runouts both sides. Paste on "coated" cover with "Newark, New Jersey" address on back.  No printing on spine.

The record looks VG+ and plays VG++/VG+. Side 1 has 2 light small scuffs at beginning that do not affect play. There's 2 scuffs app 1 inch each on Side 2 and a light "hairline" scratch at end of side that ticks lightly well below the music for app 30 seconds.   Grooves do not show heavy wear.

 The cover is VG+.

The front cover has shine and light wear.  There's a strip app 1/2 inch wide along the pocket and the bottom seam for 2 inches that was not coated and it has faded and stained.  The back cover has light wear and ringwear with some staining and 2 stamps. Bottom seam is split and untaped app 2 inches at the pocket. Top seam is not split. Spots of wear and denting at the corners. Spine is intact.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
