White Trash --
"Wake Up!"
5-song 7" EP
(Local Anesthetic, 1983)
A/k/a "Trash is Truth," cos that's what's on the cover.
Another member of the 500-copy club, or so I'm told (by a website, that is ... I'm not going to lie & say aging ex-punks like yours truly are able to sit around in Montgomery, Alaeffingbama, & talk about vintage punk vinyl all day long, though, y'know, that would certainly be cool 'n' all). Picked this up at, most likely, the Roads to Moscow off Mill Avenue in Tempe back in '83.
It's a pretty big deal these days, I guess, because the band's lineup included three future members of The Fluid, one of the bands that followed the the SubPop/grunge rout to major-label ... uh, glory ... back in the '90s.
In really good shape, though some slight record wear (from the outer rim, rather than the more commonly seen ring ... go figure) is visible in the left top quarter of the back sleeve, along with some creasing at a couple of corners. As with most of the vinyl I obtained after finally getting a cassette deck (a Pioneer 7500II, on the off chance any future biographers out there are taking notes) in early '81, the record was played once for taping purposes, then sleeved for the next 20-odd years). Includes lyric sheet (see photo).price rating
