In September 2003, The White Stripes performed a legendary concert at 'The Joint' in the Hard Rock Cafe, Las Vegas.

The small audience of around 100 included 40 fans the band invited from around the country, flown in by V2 Records. There were opening sets by Whirlwind Heat and The Soledad Brothers. The White Stripes had a meet & greet with the lucky fans, and weeks later, to their surprise, every one of them was sent their own signed pressing of the concert, straight from the soundboard mix.

Third Man Records Vault #58, to mark the 20th anniversary of the exclusive event, contains the official pressing of that performance. I got to see TWS twice in between Elephant and Get Behind Me Satan. The concerts were electrifying. These records don't have spacers because the playing never stopped. The first time I saw them, Jack played until he bled and kept on playing. This is an exhilarating concert and could not have been better mixed (Bill Skibbe), pressed (Third Man), or presented to fans.

Within the setlist were several nods to blues and rock & roll icons: Buddy Holly ("Not Fade Away"), Leadbelly ("Boll Weevil," and "Take a Whiff On Me"), Son House ("Death Letter Blues"), and Blind Willie McTell ("Your Southern Can Is Mine"). The complete concert comes in an illustrated tri-fold jacket somewhere between pointillism and ornate playing card art, the pressing is on three weighty 12" vinyl slabs: one red, one white, and one black, naturally. With the 3 LPs are a Live in Las Vegas patch and sticker, and two art prints by the same artist who designed the jacket. The set is like new in every way except it does *not* include the 7-inch.

The records will be in heavy duty poly-lined sleeves securely packed outside of the gatefold pockets to avoid any chance of damage to the seams.
