Description
For auction is the first pressing of the white stripes first release. It was released in 1997 on Italy records out of detroit. There was a very limited pressing of only 500 copies in transparent RED vinyl. The A-side track is Let's Shake Hands written by Jack White. The B-side is Look me over closely written by T. Gilkyson. The record number is Italy 003.
I purchased this record between the release of Destijl and White Blood Cells. The record was played once or twice on quality equipment, then put away. The record has always been stored properly and is absolutely flawless. The picture sleeve has no tears or dogears and was always stored separate from the record to avoid any ring wear. Unfortunately I am in a pinch for money at the moment and will need to part with it.
This record is guaranteed to be an authentic 1st pressing record. On the label reads Italy Records "low-fi renaisance" . This record is perfect in every way and could easily be framed. I rate this as NM, it only misses being mint becuase i know i have played it.
I am, however, missing the insert for the record, a quote by george washington, i had it when i took the picture, and at the moment, i can not locate it. i will edit my auction if i find it by the end of the auction, but if not, it will not come with the record. my appologies.
There was a re-release of this record in 2002 with a pressing of 2000 in black vinyl, please do not confuse that record with this one. This pressing is very rare.
