    James Wayne was credited with that name on his earliest recordings. Later it became James Wayne and from 1955 onwards, Wee Willie Wayne. He was an R&B singer with a distinctive voice, who was discovered in Texas by Bob Shad, the man probably best known to R&R fans as the owner of the Time, Brent and Shad labels in NYC in the late fifties and early sixties.  
    Besides being a singer with a very personal vocal style, Wayne played at least one instrument, drums. He also wrote his own material. Judging by his looks, it is not unlikely that he had Indian blood. In 1968 it was alleged that he was nursed in a mental institution in Leavensworth and in 1974 there was a rumor that he was living in Los Angeles.That's where the trail runs cold,allowing for the mystery "Were is Wee Willie Wayne?".     

    Having been in a private collection for several decades,this is a beautiful LP with a very clean jacket that has only a small crease at bottom front right corner and little other wear.The labels are excellent with little spindle wear.The very pristine vinyl has little play wear with only a small ding in the middle of the first track on side 2,which allows for several ticks and all other play is excellent to flawless.I have chosen to grade this vinyl at excellent since play wear is not evident and even with the ticks during the named track,this is a wonderful sound and a super collector.

NM: usually one scuff or small hard to see scratch,very close to flawless
Ex: excellent condition,item has very slight signs of wear
VG++ : light scuffing a scratching but has little to no effect play
VG+: obvious signs of wear ,play is effected
VG: parts of vinyl are nearly unplayable
