Description
Country singer, song writer and guitarist, Wanda Jackson, singing "Closer To Jesus" on Word 8781 from 1977. This stereo record looks VG++ with minor surface markings. For the most part this record plays in beautiful NM condition but there are scattered background noises. The jacket is in NM condition and it has been autographed by Wanda (see scanned images). In the late 50's and early 60's Wanda was known as "The Queen of Rockabilly", but in the 70's Wanda and her husband began attending Church and accepted Christianity, which in turn led to her recording several country gospel albums including this one. Wanda has been inducted into both the Rockabilly Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as an early influence). Now you can own Wanda's highly sought after autograph.
