Wagner Der Ring Des Nibelungen 22 vinyl  STEREO  LP Decca special  presentation set.

This is one massive box set and it is getting increasingly hard to find in a complete state such as this these days.

The set is housed in a very solid special presentation "shelf box" with imitation leather finish and imitation brass (plastic) frontplate.  The set is split into 5 separate "book like" folders. The whole casing is designed to look like an expensive bookshelf.

SET 1.  Das Rheingold, 3X LP set Ring 1, 2, 3,

vinyl on these 3 are  EX-NM. If they have been played it is only a few times

Also a 36 page (including covers) LP sized booklet.

SET 2. Die Walkure, 5 X LP set ring -Ring 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,

vinyl on these 5 are  EX-NM. If they have been played it is only a few times

Also a 48 page (including covers) LP sized booklet.

SET 3 Siegfried 5 x LP set  Ring 9, 10, 11, 12, 13

I have taken the last production date of 1968 as being the date of this box set.  All vinyl is visually EX-NM-there is just not the time to play this set.  This set looks like it has been purchased and maybe played a few times (as there are only tiny spindle marks near the centres). It looks like someone has just purchased an expensive set and put it away after a few plays.

All die cut catrd sleeves are also EX-NM. The bottom foldbacks  of a few are now unstuck

The booklets are all EX-NM.

The sets are housed in pull out folders. These have a some wear on them in parts as do the edges/ corners of the outer casings

  • This is a huge and heavy box set. It weighs nearly 11 Kilos unpacked and as such is too heavy for special delivery , but OK for Parcelforce services.

    In the UK this will be around £20.00

    Overseas customers please note that the weight probably makes this impractical to post. With overseas rates running at up to £10 per Kilo weight this could cost over £100 to post overseas.

    Please DO NOT BID if you do not want to pay full postal costs on this item as they are an unavoidable extra on a set this large and heavy set.

    All grades are given as an opinion only and it should always be accepted that grading is an opinion and not an exact science.
