This record is a used item from my own collection. Please be aware that I do not usually use the M/M- grading for used records, however, this item is an absolutely pristine copy with vinyl that is in sparkling condition and a cover that displays no flaws other than a slight impression of the disc but is otherwise in extremely fine condition. The record label has an ”A” stamped on both sides suggesting this was originally an advance promotional copy and even rarer than the standard issue. This is a truly superb copy of a rare and desirable record.

Though the label and its offshoots are synonymous with the blue beat and ska sounds, for this 1961 UK release, Blue Beat selected four less familiar tracks from the R&B output of US blues shouter, Wynonie Harris. The tracks were recorded in the USA by the King label during 1950-52 and all four sides were originally issued on 78/45 at the time.
