Rare 1966 LP on the Prism label (Prism 1966)!   WONE "The Dayton Scene"

This Lp was a result of a 1966 Battle Of The Bands competition sponsored by

the Dayton, Ohio radio station WONE.  The twelve "winners" of the competition each got

to record a song for the album.  Eleven tracks are by white garage bands and one track

is by a black soul band.  

The record is in VG condition.  (there is a fair amount of surface marks and some feel-able

scratches on the record, which will create some ticks and pops here and there on some

songs, but the sound quality of the vinyl is generally good and the record plays well and

is very listenable.  

There is NO cover for the LP!!   Auction is for the Prism label LP in a plain white LP cover only.

The plain white cover is old and was found with the LP.  It says, "The Dayton Scene" on it.  I do not

know exactly how old it is however.  But the LP is the original 1966 pressing and is very RARE. 

There are a lot of great tracks on here by some very obscure bands.  The song by Jerry And The Others "Don't Cry To Me" was featured on the excellent compilation BACK FROM THE GRAVE.  This song, like most of the others, are not featured anywhere else except on this LP.  The sound file is taken from the album.

MINT – record is “like new” with no flaws at all.  Not many records make this grade.

NEAR MINT – record is ‘like new” very clean.

VG++  record has only minor wear and is in excellent shape.

VG+  record shows typical wear but the record is still in good shape.

VG  record shows a fair amount of wear and mishandling but still OK

VG-  record shows excessive wear.
