'Noche del Chupacabra' is the third psychedelic trip through the swampy backwoods from Texas riffmasters Wo Fat. Continuing their tradition of using crushing, fuzz-laden riffs channeled from a lost bluesman's tortured memories of hellhounds on his trail, Wo Fat conjures up hallucinatory images of hoodoo shacks, unseen menaces lurking in the shadows, and forbidden knowledge from the ancients. The five songs that make up 'Noche del Chupacabra' are full of twists and turns, like a river through the swampland. Psychotropic guitar solos, thundering bass, polyrhythmic drumming that harkens back to mysterious African roots. >From sludgy doom to trance-inducing high voltage blues to driving 70's inspired riffery, this is Southern Psychedelic Doom done Texas style.
