We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +22,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! MANY AGES AGO pre-release PROMOTIONAL LP of an interesting psych band who morphed from garage-rock by professionals having released the impact mid 60's 45rpm nugget (punk/garage) "Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind" ~ in all its legendary "cool" splendor; yet they experienced the drugs settle in with their creative HYPNOTIC 1 LP
BIT 'A SWEET from Long Island, New York reportedly was a top draw at big discotheques in New York City.
Their only album, Hypnotic 1 released by ABC Records in 1968 is scarcely-found...a high-rated 'conceptual' rock-psych album. Today it is highly praised by collectors who are interested in psychedelic underground rock music
Signed to MGM, BIT 'A SWEET offered their 1967 single ‘Out of Sight Out of Mind’. If you can find a copy of this 45, then be prepared to pay more for it than for this, their scarce Lp.
Musically most of the nine tracks on "Hypnotic 1" are mixed lite-psych with infectious rock edges and classic grow power on repeat plays...
BIT 'A SWEET self-composed tunes are highlighted throughout by injections of experimentation's (notably quite a bit of electric sitar, oscillators, phasing, various studio effects, bursts of early moog-keys gurgles and gasps).
Very original for the time with bits of sunny California melodica harmonies (’2086'), Young Rascals blue-eyed soul/garage (‘How Can I Make You See'), bit of Beatles inspired mysticism (their ‘Blue Jay Way’- styled ‘Travel’), etc… This album is nothing but fun - and the band turns in a great Beatles cover of George Harrison’s ‘If I Needed Someone’, while the heavily phased ‘Monday – Tuesday’ sounds like the band was pending the afternoon just huffing 'highs.' = All told though, a major label surprise, though plenty difficult to find as collectors have found.
