Description
WIZARDS FROM KANSAS S/T LP, on the Mercury label (SR-61309) from 1970. This is an original US pressing of a rare psych album.
ARTIST: Wizards From Kansas
TITLE: S/T
VINYL CONDITION (VISUAL & PLAY GRADE): VG(+) & EX(-) The vinyl has retained its original sheen with hairlines and sleeve-removal marks, a few small, fine scratches and a couple of longer, more prominent lines visible on each side, but there is nothing bad anywhere. Although some of the marks can be seen in normal light, they are all superficial. There are NO marks on either side which are feelable and absolutely NO deep scratches so visual grade VG(+). I have played the entire record and it sounds really excellent. There is some background surface noise and crackle which can be heard in the quiet parts and the run-ins/outs, fades, silent grooves and intros and some various places where you get a short-lived repetitive click but there is nothing loud or intrusive anywhere. Generally when the music is playing I'd give it a full Excellent (EX) grade or better but some of the quiet parts grade a little lower than this, Very Good Plus. This is NOT a copy for the audio-perfectionist, but it plays through perfectly with NO jumps, skips or sticking and very little surface noise. It's still a pleasure to listen to. Taking into account the different gradings for the loud and quiet parts, overall, It would play-grade both sides between (VG+) & (EX) so EXCELLENT MINUS. Play graded on a Rega P3-24 deck. Denon amp.
SLEEVE CONDITION: EX, The original "Textured" sleeve is in nice shape. Only issues are punch hole top right, minor tear bottom left (coloured in black on black), minor ring wear. (see photos and use zoom-in). If you'd like to see more photos please contact me.

EX+ Record is near perfect, may be played only a few times. Sleeve and labels are in top condition.
EX Record, sleeve and labels are in excellent condition. Minimal irrelevant imperfections - nothing serious. Always handled with care with minor signs of use.
EX- Between VG+ and EX.
VG+ Record, sleeve and labels have signs of being played. Record has some visual light scuffs or light scratches. Sleeve shows light moderate wear or other light marks. No major defects. Record could have some surface spots or noises but it's still a strong listenable and collectible copy.
VG Record has many marks and surface noises, cover shows wear or other problems. No skips or jumps. Not for mint maniacs but still a decent copy.
