This is an original 1963 FIRST press as indicated by
- "The parlophone co.." and "Recording first published 1963" label text
- JOBETE credit for the song "MONEY"
- Has the song title "You really GOTTA hold on me" on BOTH cover and label
- Is MKT tax coded on side 1
The original laminated GARROD & LOFTHOUSE flipback cover which has the LARGE MONO is in great condition.The front is very shiny with full gloss has no laminate cracking just a few edge creases on the bottom and spine,The perimiter around the photo is SNOW WHITE with no wear!!.The corners are VERY SHARP! .The seams and spine are fantastic with NO SPLITS! on the spine all the text is clear and readable.The back is VERY WHITE with just minimal light wear on the opening,the flipbacks which are very white also have just a few small creases.Altogether a solid copy that has no major damage by the way of tears,stickers or writing
The record which is made out of thick quality wax is STUNNING!! with NO GROOVE WEAR!!,to look at it looks MINT!! but under a strong light you can see a few very light marks most of which have been probably caused by taking the record out of the sleeve
The parlophone labels are STUNNING with just a tiny bit of wear on the spindle hole and just a couple of very light "spider" marks around the hole
This is one of the hardest beatles records to find in top condition,because of all the fantastic tracks it was normally played to death and most copies you see are in vg condition but not this!!.From the quiet run on through every fantastic track it plays superb!!, the sound quality is ultra sharp and on the tracks there is nothing that overshadows the music,no loud crackles,clicks or pops just fantastic beatles music,there is just minimal light background noise between some tracks but this will not put you off this rare beatles original first press lp
