THE BEATLES ‘WTH THE BEATLES’ ORIGINAL 1963 YELLOW BLACK LABEL FIRST PRESSING VINYL LP

Details: Parlophone 1963, PMC 1202,  (XEX – 447 – 1N & XEX – 448 – 1N, in  dead wax) Yellow & black Parlophone label  with “Recording first Published” and “Jobette” publishing  credit for “Money”, Ernest J Day sleeve, large Mono on front.

When this LP was initially released there were a few problems on the label that were hastily corrected on later copies. The song title ‘You Really Got a Hold on Me’  was mis-spelt as You Really Gotta Hold on Me and the song Money was credited to the publishers 'Jobete'. In stereo these are quite easy to find, but in mono this label variation is much scarcer.

This copy offered here is the absolute, very first pressing of this LP with the misspelt, “ You Really Gotta Hold on Me” Rather than the later, “You Really Got A Hold on Me”.

Sleeve condition: Somewhere between Ex – and Vg.  The rear is a little grubby with the flipbacks a bit tatty at the corners but free from writing or an real damage.  The front is rubbed but has very little evidence of laminate creasing with all laminate firm with no lifting.  Complete with original, “Emitex” inner sleeve with poly liner intact.

Record condition:  Light, whispery, sleeve withdrawal marks, one or two very superficial and purely cosmetic marks which do not affect play in any way.  Side two is slightly better than Side one but overall, Ex-.  Plays flawlessly.

This is a nice, clean copy of what is actually a very hard original LP to find in anything like this condition.

I am also currently listing for auction, an Australian release of this LP with a completely different sleeve design and picture in addition to an original, Gold label, ‘Please Please Me’ LP.

Please note that the charges for overseas delivery include all handling, packaging, full insurance against loss or damage in transit and International Signed For status (or Airsure where available).
