ARTIST: WISHBONE ASH
TRACKS: "BLIND EYE" / "QUEEN OF TORTURE"
FORMAT: …vinyl 7" single… LABEL: MCA (manufactured and distributed by Astor Records) CATALOGUE #: MCA-1206 DATE OF RELEASE: 1970 PRESSED IN: AUSTRALIA ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING? : Yes, it is...This is part of a collection of an ex-Aussie radio big-wig (nice guy) who was given TWO copies of every release (LP, 7”, 12”), by every Australian major label between 1956 and 1991, and he stashed one away, never to be played, protected individually in non-vinyl-affecting plastic covers…which is precisely where this comes from.
It is indeed, an original late 1970 Aussie FIRST pressing…but what really defines this as perhaps unique (right now), is that the record is completely MINT…as fresh and shiny and clean as the day it was pressed…and the company sleeve is as good. There could NOT exist an original Aussie copy that has survived the past 48+ years, in better condition. It has NO spindle marks on its labels and has remained unplayed.
