Description
Vinyl and cover are in excellent condition. Cover says "LIMITED EDITION-CLEAR VINYL" but record is black.
Alien Boy was the 7th song on the Wipers first album, Is This Real? Park Ave records, released in 1979.
Alien Boy is also a 1980 EP with this track on side A, and 3 outtakes from the Is This Real? album sessions on side B. The EP was originally released without the band's authority or knowledge. In 1993 the tracks were added to the Sub Pop re-issue of the album Is This Real?
According to Greg Sage, writing on the Zeno Records web site, James Chasse, also called Jim Jim was the subject of Alien Boy. "Jim Jim's conversations with me and his powerful sense of vision painted uncanny, powerful visions in my head that became a huge influence for a few songs that were later recorded for the Is This Real? LP." Chasse was beaten to death by police officers in Portland, Oregon in September 2006.
